29 CFR 1910.36(g)(1): The ceiling of an exit route must be at least seven feet six inches (2.3 m) high. Any projection from the ceiling must not reach a point less than six feet eight inches (2.0 m) from the floor. a) Cook Plant - On or about September 19, 2012 conveyors from raw receiving to the old and new cookers traveled on an incline less than 7 feet across exit routes thereby causing an exit route obstruction hazard in the cook room. The old cooker conveyor traveled on an incline across the exit route at a minimal height of 4 feet 3 inches and a maximal height of 5 feet 3 inches. The new cooker conveyor traveled on an incline across the exit route at minimal height of 2 feet 8 inches and a maximal height of 5 feet 3 inches.
