29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work area(s) In Room 106 of 424 South Kansas Ave. Topeka, Kansas, employees performing paint scraping and preparation activities were exposed to hazardous chemicals including but not limited to Sheetrock Brand Easy Sand Joint Compound 45 which contains respirable crystalline silica which is a respiratory hazard and carcinogen. Employees were exposed to these hazards because the employer did not make safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical readily accessible during each work shift.
