29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii):Flexible cords were not connected to devices and fittings so that tension would not be transmitted to joints or terminal screws: a) Shop Bays/ Welding Bay 2: On or about 8/9/2022, the outer sheath of the flexible cable on a junction box used to power a welding machine was not connected to the strain relief and was covered in electrical tape. b) Shop Bays/ Welding Bay 2: On or about 8/9/2022, the outer sheath of the flexible cable of the cord to the welding machine had a damaged strain relief and was covered in electrical tape. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
