Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 012 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.305(j)(2)(vii): A receptacle installed in a wet location where the product intended to be plugged into it was to be attended while in use did not have an enclosure that was weatherproof when the attachment plug cap was removed: The employer is failing to protect employees from electrocution hazards associated with live parts of equipment or the unexpected energization of electrical equipment in the fabrication area. This was most recently documented on June 9, 2020 at the worksite located at 1921 West US Highway 50, Lone Jack, Missouri. Employees were using a Milwaukee Sawzall powered by an extension cord plugged into a receptacle without a weatherproof enclosure.
