29 CFR 1910.134(h)(2)(i): Respirators were not stored to protect them from damage, contamination, dust, sunlight, extreme temperatures, excessive moisture, and damaging chemicals or were not packed or stored to prevent deformation of the facepiece and exhalation valve: (a) Employees engaged in spray painting activities were exposed to isocyanates and other organic vapors wore 3M full face respirators that were stored in the open, exposing them to damage and contamination. (b) Employees engaged in sanding, torch cutting and other tasks during vehicle fabrication wore 3M half face respirators that were stored in the open, exposing them to damage and contamination.
