29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iii): The measures employees can take to protect themselves from these hazards, including specific procedures the employer has implemented to protect employees from exposure to hazardous chemicals, such as appropriate work practices, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment to be used: On or about March 4, 2019, and at times prior thereto, at the tank battery train #7, employees performed maintenance and/or repairs to a level controller/float on the heater treater oil boot and peanut valve. The employer did not ensure the employees were provided specific procedures to protect themselves from exposure to hazardous chemicals, such as appropriate work practices, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment to be used.
