29 CFR 1910.179(j)(2)(iii): Monthly inspections with a certification record which includes the date of inspection, the signature of the person who performed the inspection and the serial number, or other identifier, of the hook inspected, were not performed. On or about May 11, 2016, the employer who conducts monthly crane inspections did not perform the inspections per the requirement of the standard to include the date of the inspection, signature of the person who performed the inspection and identified the plain view hazards, including missing safety latches, exposing employees to being struck by and/or crushed by dropped loads.
