29 CFR 1926.1101(g)(7)(i): All Class II work was not supervised by a competent person as defined in 29 CFR 1926.1101(b): The employer is failing to protect its employees and the employees of other employers from hazards associated with Class II asbestos work. This was most recently documented on or about January 12, 2021, and at times prior to at Bentonview Park Health & Rehabilitation located at 410 Benton St. Monett, Missouri 65708. The employer failed to ensure that Class II asbestos work was supervised by a competent person. The employer was not capable of identifying existing asbestos hazards in the workplace and selecting the appropriate control strategy for asbestos exposure, in addition, for Class II work the employer was not specially trained in a training course that meets the criteria of EPA's Model Accreditation Plan (40 CFR part 763) for supervisor.
