Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 011A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1)(ii): Electrical equipment was not free from recognized hazards, based on the mechanical strength and durability, including, for parts designed to enclose and protect other equipment, the adequacy of the protection thus provided: The employer is failing to protect employees from electrical hazards associated with damaged electrical panel boxes in the work place. This was most recently evident during the inspection of the facility located at 2500 Old Hadar Rd & 2300 Riverside Blvd. Norfolk, NE 68701; where the employer has employees accessing the damaged electrical box in the Fiber Line as means of de-energizing the overhead fluorescent lights when changing the bulbs thus exposing the employee to live electrical parts.
