29 CFR 1910.305(a)(2)(x): Flexible cords and cables were not protected from accidental damage, as might be caused, for example, by sharp corners, projections, and doorways or other pinch points: a. 418 Duncan Ave, Jersey City , NJ - Vehicle Maintenance Area Flexible cords which were strung through a doorway into a tool storage area were not protected from accidental damage from the door being opened and closed onto the cord. Violation observed on or about August 13, 2014 b. 418 Duncan Ave, Jersey City , NJ - Vehicle Maintenance Area Flexible cords which were run from the guard shack to the vehicle maintenance area were not protected from damage from vehicular traffic. Cords were strung along the ground and had been run over by vehicles. Violation observed on or about August 13, 2014 c. 418 Duncan Ave, Jersey City , NJ - Front Gate Building (gate shack) Flexible cords which were run as temporary power from the guard shack to the vehicle maintenance were not protected from damage from the guard shack door being opened and closed onto the cord.
