29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1): The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace: PAINT SPRAY AREA: On or about November 4, 2013, the employer required the painter to wear a respirator while painting but had not provided him with a medical evaluation prior to use of a full-face respirator as required during painting of manufactured products. Employee uses a two-part epoxy primer, a two-part acrylic urethane enamel, and lacquer thinner containing ingredients such as, but not limited to, n-butyl acetate, 2-methoxy-1-methylethyl acetate, hexamethylene diisocyanate, toluene, acetone, petroleum distillates, and methanol.
