29 CFR 1910.120 (q)(6): Employees who participated, or were expected to participate, in emergency response, were not given training in accordance with items (i) through (v) of this subparagraph: a) Poly Vinyl Chloride Manufacturing Areas - The employer did not provide emergency response training for employees who were expected to participate in emergency responses potentially involving releases of vinyl chloride monomer, a cancer-suspect agent and extremely flammable under pressure. On or about March 13, 2012. 1. Operators and Shift Supervisors expected to respond to potential releases in a defensive fashion were not trained. 2. Shift Supervisors expected to assume control of the scene beyond the first responder awareness level were not trained. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED.
