29 CFR 1910.1053(f)(1): The employer did not use engineering and work practice controls to reduce and maintain employee exposure to respirable crystalline silica to or below the PEL, unless the employer can demonstrate that such controls are not feasible: (a) QuarryCut Inc. located at 77 Wells Road, Parker Ford, PA 19457: The employer did not implement feasible engineering or work practice controls to reduce the employee exposure to below the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter (�g/m3). An employee was exposed to respirable crystalline silica at an 8-hour TWA of 163.8436 �g/m3 during occupational exposures of 321 minutes. The employee was using a saw to split and cut stone and was 3.2769 above the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 �g/m3. Zero exposures were assumed for all unsampled time periods.
