29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by the point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Production Area: The Hyd-Mech S-20A horizontal band saw, serial number 8B0216814T, employees were exposed to an unguarded portion of the blade not used for cutting, which could result in an amputation injury, on or about March 8, 2023. b) Production Area: The Hyd-Mech S-20A horizontal band saw, serial number 8B0711218, employees were exposed to an unguarded portion of the blade not used for cutting, which could result in an amputation injury, on or about March 8, 2023. c) Production Area: The Hyd-Mech S-23A horizontal band saw, serial number XA1103263, employees were exposed to an unguarded portion of the blade not used for cutting, which could result in an amputation injury, on or about March 8, 2023.
