Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 011 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws: At a worksite located at 111 West Fountain Rd, Webb City, MO: Employees were exposed to electrical shock hazards. This was demonstrated on February 6, 2020 in that flexible cords and cables with the outer jacket on the 110-volt power cord that runs the open top bagger and sewer were withdrawn, exposing the inner conductors and terminals to strain. The employer is failing to protect employees by permitting the use of the cords and cables in the relocatable power tap that are damaged.
