29 CFR 1910.1026(i)(2): The employer did not ensure that a change room at a worksite with chromium (VI) exposures was equipped with separate storage facilities for protective clothing and equipment and for street clothing: a. Rear Yard, Stainless Steel Scrap Burn Area - The employer did not provide an employee with separate storage facilities for his protective work clothing and equipment and street clothes to prevent cross-contamination. An employee, conducting the torch burning of stainless steel scrap, was exposed to 8-hour Time Weighted Average (TWA) of 0.019 milligrams per cubic meter of airborne hexavalent chromium during a 436 minutes occupational exposure. The 8-hour TWA employee exposure was 3.8 times respectively the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 0.005 milligrams per cubic meter. The violation was noted on March 7, 2019.
