Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 011 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1): Electrical equipment was not free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: The employer is failing to protect employees from an electrical shock hazard. This was most recently documented on February 1, 2017 at 9100 West Liberty Drive, Pleasant Valley, Missouri 64068. Employees are exposed to 110 volt electrical shock hazard. Employees were using the intrinsically safe drop light for tank inspection in wet locations and the cord, repaired with electrical tape, was missing portions of the outer insulation. If the conductor insulation became compromised and contact made, the tank, catwalk, or other metal surface could become energized.
