29 CFR 1910.184(e)(1): Alloy steel sling(s) did not have permanently affixed durable identification stating size, grade, rated capacity, and reach: a) Core room: Steel slings used with a 1/2 ton overhead gantry cranes to lift transmissions were not labeled with size, grade, rated capacity and reach information, on or about 8/9/16. b) On Highway work area: Steel slings used with overhead gantry and wall mounted cranes to lift transmissions were not labeled with size, grade, rated capacity and reach information, on or about 8/9/16. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
