29 CFR 1910.213(i)(1): Non-working portion(s) of the blade of bandsaw(s) were not enclosed or guarded: (a)TM Industries, LLC at 24211 412th Avenue, Artesian, SD 57314: On or about and at times prior to December 13, 2023, the employer did not ensure appropriate guarding methods on the Rockwell Model 14 vertical bandsaw. The vertical bandsaw was not equipped with an extensible guard and had three inches of the unused portion of the blade exposed. The bandsaw is used to cut notches in one-half inch wood stock for drawers to be installed in RV's. This condition exposed employees to lacerations and amputation hazards.
