29 CFR 1910.1025(m)(2)(i): Warning signs bearing the legend: WARNING, LEAD WORK AREA, POISON, NO SMOKING OR EATING, were not posted in each work area where the permissible exposure limit (PEL) was exceeded: 900 Jeffco Executive Drive, Imperial: Employer is exposing employees to hazardous conditions. The employees are permitted to work in an area where the exposure to lead exceeds the permissible level of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air without warning signs being displayed as required. On 11/07/2017 an employee who was the "trainer" was exposed to airborne lead at twice the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms of lead per cubic meter of air as determined by personal air sampling conducted by OSHA. The exposure level obtained was 110 micrograms of air borne lead per cubic meter of air calculated on 8-hour time weighted average basis. Sampling was conducted for 306 minutes. Required warning signs where there is overexposure to airborne lead in the shooting range were not posted.
