29 CFR 1910.119(k)(2): The hot work permit did not document that the fire prevention and protection requirements in 29 CFR 1910.252(a) had been implemented prior to beginning the hot work operations: ALON USA, LP, 200 Refinery Road, Big Spring, TX. The employer does not ensure that the fire prevention and protection requirements are implemented prior to beginning hot work. This violation was observed on or about April 15, 2009 in the following instances: The employer does not ensure implementation of safe work practices. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that the fire prevention and protection work practices were implemented prior to beginning hot work.
