29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary, which would enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairways and train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards: (a) C & C Construction, Inc. at 82 Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, Hazel SD 57242: On or about and at times prior to May 22, 2020, the employer did not ensure employees were trained on the proper use of ladders and the ability to recognize the hazards associated with ladder usage. Employees on site were utilizing a six-foot A-frame ladder to access to the Grove crane on site to perform servicing. This condition exposed employees to fall hazards.
