29 CFR 1910.219(d)(1): Pulley(s) with part(s) seven feet or less from the floor or work platform were not guarded in accordance with the requirements specified in 29 CFR 1910.219(m) and (o): At a worksite located at 12149 Hartville Road, Licking, MO: The employer failed to protect employees from caught-in and amputation hazards. This was most recently demonstrated on or about October 26, 2023, and at times prior to when the employer failed to ensure that belt and pulley assemblies were adequately guarded from employees engaged in sawmill activities. Employees were exposed to pulley(s) including but are not limited to: a) Unguarded pulley assembly located at or near the off bearers/edgers' clutch handle for the Miner edger (B53) in the lower or downhill mill. b) Unguarded pulley assembly located at or near the edgers for the Hurdle saw motor in the lower or downhill mill. c) Unguarded pulley assembly located at or near the wall fan by the edger in the lower or downhill mill. d) Unguarded pulley assembly located at or near green chop saw in the lower or downhill mill. e) Unguarded pulley assembly located at or near the off bearer/edger for the saw motor in old mill. f) Unguarded pulley assembly located at or near the off bear/edger for the Cornell edger in the old mill. g) Unguarded pulley assembly at or near the Rotunda air compressor in the old mill
