29 CFR 1915.115(a)(1): When used to transfer materials or equipment from or to a vessel, cranes which are placed onboard barges, other vessels, or on wingwalls of floating drydocks, were not tested and certified in accordance with the standards provided in 29 CFR 1919 of Hoisting and Hauling Equipment by accredited persons. (a) On or about February 24, 2022, aboard the Pride Wisconsin, employees used LeTourneau, PCM-120-AS cranes to lift personnel and items such as leg pieces and supplies to and from the vessel without testing and certifying the cranes.
