29 CFR 1910.219(c)(2)(i): All exposed part(s) of horizontal shafting seven (7) feet or less from floor or working platform were not protected by stationary casing(s) enclosing shafting completely or by trough(s) enclosing sides and top or sides and bottom of shafting: a. 156 West Harrisburg Avenue Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania - On or about October 19, 2021, in the packing room right below the mezzanine, the packaging machine had a 9 inch exposed section of horizontal rotating shaft, exposing employees to a caught in hazard. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
