29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4): Work rest(s) on grinding machinery were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one eighth inch: The employer does not ensure work rests on grinding machinery was adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one eighth inch. This violation was observed on or about May 30, 2019, in the maintenance shop, a Dayton bench grinder was found with the work rest more than one eighth of an inch from the grinding belt, exposing employees to struck-by hazards. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps taken to ensure the distance between abrasive wheel and machinery is no more than an eighth of an inch.
