Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 010A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1025(l)(1)(ii): The employer did not train each employee who is subject to exposure to lead at or above the action level, or for whom the possibility of skin or eye irritation exists, in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.1025: On or about February 1, 2019 and at times prior thereto and times thereafter, employees working in areas with exposure to airborne lead at or above the action level were not informed of the hazards of lead and the content of Appendices A and B of 29 CFR 1910.1025 of the Occupational Safety and Health Standards, exposing employees to lead inhalation, absorption and ingestion hazards. a) Warehouse worker(s) were exposed to lead at an 8-hour Time Weighted Average (TWA) up to 0.8178 milligrams per cubic meter of air, which is 16.4 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air. The exposure level is derived from a sample collected over a 390-minute period and the calculations include a zero value for the 90 minutes not sampled. b) Warehouse worker(s) were exposed to lead at an 8-hour Time Weighted Average (TWA) up to 0.3222 milligrams per cubic meter of air, which is 6.4 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air. The exposure level is derived from a sample collected over a 377-minute period and the calculations include a zero value for the 103 minutes not sampled. c) Warehouse worker(s) were exposed to lead at an 8-hour Time Weighted Average (TWA) up to 0.2212 milligrams per cubic meter of air, which is 4.4 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air. The exposure level is derived from a sample collected over a 387-minute period and the calculations include a zero value for the 93 minutes not sampled. d) Warehouse worker(s) were exposed to lead at an 8-hour Time Weighted Average (TWA) up to 0.8904 milligrams per cubic meter of air, which is 17.8 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air. The exposure level is derived from a sample collected over a 390-minute period and the calculations include a zero value for the 90 minutes not sampled. e) Warehouse worker(s) were exposed to lead at an 8-hour Time Weighted Average (TWA) up to 0.5268 milligrams per cubic meter of air, which is 10.5 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air. The exposure level is derived from a sample collected over a 372-minute period and the calculations include a zero value for the 108 minutes not sampled. f) Warehouse worker(s) were exposed to lead at an 8-hour Time Weighted Average (TWA) up to 1.0269 milligrams per cubic meter of air, which is 20.5 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air. The exposure level is derived from a sample collected over a 365-minute period and the calculations include a zero value for the 115 minutes not sampled. g) Warehouse worker(s) were exposed to lead at an 8-hour Time Weighted Average (TWA) up to 0.2313 milligrams per cubic meter of air, which is 4.6 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air. The exposure level is derived from a sample collected over a 367-minute period and the calculations include a zero value for the 113 minutes not sampled. h) Warehouse worker(s) were exposed to lead at an 8-hour Time Weighted Average (TWA) up to 0.6829 milligrams per cubic meter of air, which is 13.7 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air. The exposure level is derived from a sample collected over a 370-minute period and the calculations include a zero value for the 110 minutes not sampled. i) Warehouse worker(s) were exposed to lead at an 8-hour Time Weighted Average (TWA) up to 0.4087 milligrams per cubic meter of air, which is 8.2 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air. The exposure level is derived from a sample collected over a 338-minute period and the calculations include a zero value for the 142 minutes not sampled.
