29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Installation and use. Listed or labeled equipment shall be installed and used in accordance with any instructions included in the listing or labeling: On or about 08 February 2017, the employer failed to ensure that flexible power cords and re-locatable power taps were used in accordance with their listing and labeling. Two cords were "Daisy" chained together in the shipping department to power the following equipment: a. A computer work station. b. An industrial printer. c. 2 Industrial battery backup devices. This exposed employees to a fire hazard. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
