29 CFR 1910.272(m)(1)(i): Preventive maintenance procedures in the grain handling facility were not implemented to provide regularly scheduled inspections of the mechanical and safety control equipment associated with dryers, grain stream processing equipment, dust collection equipment including filter collectors, and bucket elevators: (a) Throughout the plant: On or about February 8, 2016 and times prior, employees were exposed to explosive dust injuries because preventative maintenance inspections were not conducted. 1) Control Room Operators indicated only 4 to 6 monitors out of 28 on the grain elevators worked 2) Employees stated covers for conveyors were off to help keep packouts down causing dust buildup.
