29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Authorized employee(s) did not receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation On the kill floor, the employer is failing to ensure the maintenance mechanic trainees are receiving adequate instruction on the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources. This violation was most recently documented in relation to the split saw platform, where employees are not being trained on the use of gravity restraining devices such as but not limited to a come-along, overhead hoist or chain fall, when replacing the hydraulic lift cylinder.
