29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws: At the worksite located at 7475 W US HWY 60, Republic, MO 65738 Employees conducting sign manufacturing activities were exposed to electrocution, electric shock, and fire hazards. The employer did not ensure that employees were protected when using flexible cords and cables with inadequate strain relief to power various equipment in the workplace. Instances of exposure include but are not limited to: Instance 1. Power cord on fan located by the band saw. Instance 2. Power cord for the band saw. Instance 3. Blue and black extension cord used to charge the scissor lift. Instance 4. Fan in spray lat room.
