29 CFR 1910.134(h)(2)(i): Respirators were not stored to protect them from damage, contamination, dust, sunlight, extreme temperatures, excessive moisture, and damaging chemicals or were not packed or stored to prevent deformation of the facepiece and exhalation valve: (Construction Reference 1926.103) (a) On or about 05/01/2024 at the MTA-F line a 2.10-mile-long elevated steel structure from Kings Highway above McDonald Ave/Shell Road/West 6th Street and West 8th Street. Abrasive blasters were permitted to leave their 88E and 77 Series Bullard airline respirators and blasting hood inside of the contaminated blasting area. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1,000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.
