Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 010 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1):Examination. Electric equipment shall be free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees. Safety of equipment shall be determined using the following considerations: a. On or about September 27, 2023, employees were not protected from electrical hazards due to unguarded 480 VAC electrical connections due to a loose terminal box cover on the electrical motor underneath the Cut Off Saw conveyor. b. On or about September 27, 2023, employees were not protected from electrical hazards due a damaged 120 VAC flexible cord at the Leeson Model A6C17NB4G horizontal drilling machine horizontal drill. The outer jacket of the cord was damaged exposing the internal conductors.
