29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(i): Projecting shaft ends shall present a smooth edge and end and shall not project more than one-half the diameter of the shaft unless guarded by nonrotating caps or safety sleeves: a) On or about June 28, 2023, at a workplace located at 5843 Tower Drive, Florence, Wisconsin in the Planer Mill; employees were exposed to an unguarded rotating shaft protruding from the Merneen-Johnson ReSaw #2, 431-DC electric motor enclosure. b) On or about June 29, 2023, at a workplace located at 5843 Tower Drive, Florence, Wisconsin in the Planer Mill; employees were exposed to an unguarded rotating shaft protruding from the Mellott LM13-916-12 outfeed cart chain electric motor enclosure.
