29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6): The employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged, or marked with the identity and appropriate hazard warnings regarding the chemicals contained therein: The employer does not ensure that a tank used at the facility is properly labeled or marked to indicate the tanks contents and hazards: a) This violation was observed on or about March 22, 2021, where small spray bottles containing unknown chemicals were not labeled, exposing employees to irritation of the eyes, respiratory system and skin hazards b) This violation was observed on or about March 22, 2021, where 55 gallon barrels of hydraulic fluid were not labeled, exposing employees to irritation of the eyes, respiratory system and skin hazards c) This violation was observed on or about March 22, 2021, where large 55 gallon containers of Rinse prep were not labeled, exposing employees to irritation of the eyes, respiratory system and skin hazards Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps taken to ensure the fuel tank is properly marked and labeled.
