29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: a. On or about October 15, 2020, and at times prior, in the Maintenance Department, employees were not provided with training and information regarding the hazardous chemicals in their work area. As a result, employees were exposed to inhalation, absorption, and other associated hazards with use of hazardous chemicals. b. On or about October 15, 2020, and at times prior, facility-wide, employees were not provided with updated training and information regarding the 2012 revised hazard communication standard. Employees were thereby exposed to absorption and inhalation hazards associated with being unable to comprehend new labels, pictograms, and safety data sheets.
