29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. At a jobsite located at 5218 Northeast 91st terrace, Kansas City, Missouri 64119, employees were exposed to a serious fall hazard. Employees were observed performing work on a back deck of the residential construction. The employees working on the deck were not adequately protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. The employees were exposed to a 9 feet 2 inch fall hazard to the ground below.
