29 CFR 1910.272(m)(4): The employer did not implement procedures in the grain handling facility for the use of tags and locks which would prevent the inadvertent application of energy or motion to equipment being repaired, serviced, or adjusted, which could result in employee injury: Employees were exposed to amputation hazards from hazardous energies when performing service and/or maintenance. An energy control program with all required elements such as locks and tags were not established and implemented for machinery/equipment such as, but not limited of the following: a. Tripping Conveyer Machine System West Side, and; b. Tripping Conveyer Machine System East Side.
