29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes is not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i. Location: Pallet Repair Table 6 The violation was observed on November 28th, 2016, when an employee was using compressed air from a nail gun hose to blow dust off his clothes, and the air pressure had not been reduced below 30 psi. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that employees do not use compressed air to clean off their clothes, unless the air pressure is reduced below 30 psi. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit documents describing the steps it is taking to ensure compliance.
