29 CFR 1910.243(c)(1): Abrasive wheel are not used machines provided with safety guards. The employer does not ensure portable hand grinders were provided with safety guards. This violation was observed on or about July 19, 2016, at the facility, exposing employees to the hazard of lacerations and amputations. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps that is taking to ensure all portable power tools are properly guarded.
