29 CFR 1910.213(l)(2): Boring bits should be provided with a guard that will enclose all portions of the bit and chuck above the material being worked. At an establishment located at 200 Woodland Drive in Random Lake, Wisconsin: a) On or about December 20, 2022, to January 6, 2023, the boring bit on the Sicotte Horizontal Boring Machine (Model: J-20, S/N: 904) was not guarded to prevent employee exposure to the entanglement and amputation hazards created by the bit and chuck above the material being worked. b) On or about January 5, 2023, the hollow chisel mortising bit on the Northtech Mortise Machine #197 (Model: MS-25A, S/N: 1743) was not guarded to prevent employee exposure to the amputation hazard created by the bit during operation.
