29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (a) Thalheimer Brothers, LLC located at 700 East Godfrey Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19124: On or about January 4, 2023, the employer did not provide hazardous chemical training for employees engaged in scrap metal recycling activities. Employees are exposed to chemicals, including but not limited to the following: -Metals such as, but not limited to Aluminum, Nickel, Copper, Beryllium, Chromium contained in Nickel Scrap -Metals such as, but not limited to Aluminum, Copper, Nickel, Tungsten contained in Stainless Steel Scrap -Metals such as, but not limited to Aluminum, Copper, Lead, Cadmium, Beryllium, Arsenic contained in Copper Scrap -Metals such as, but not limited to Aluminum, Copper, Lead, Arsenic, Nickel contained in Brass Scrap -Nitric Acid -Silver Nitrate
