29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(i): When the employer had assessed the workplace hazard(s) and determined that hazard(s) were present, the employer did not select and/or use the types of personal protective equipment that would protect the affected employee from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment: Workplace, NJ Route 440 and 22nd Street, Bayonne, NJ a) Appropriate personal protective equipment was not selected and worn by personnel responding to an emergency where a maintenance worker was sprayed with 50% corrosive sodium hydroxide liquid and subsequently trapped approximately 30 above grade in rail rack #7 and #8. Violation occurred on or about 8-28-19
