29 CFR 1910.272(m)(1)(ii): Preventive maintenance procedures in the grain handling facility were not implemented to provide lubrication and other appropriate maintenance in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations; or as determined necessary by prior operating records: Employees working in and/or near grain elevator were exposed to struck-by hazards, caught-in hazards, hazardous energies, fire and explosion hazards. The employer did not follow the manufacturers' preventive maintenance lubrication schedules, nor were the employer's lubrication and greasing schedules consistently followed for equipment such as, but not limited to: a) Rollers; b) Gearboxes; c) Chaincases, and; d) Bearing Systems.
