29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1):Employer had not developed or implemented a written hazard communication program which at included the requirements outlined in 29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i) and (e)(1)(ii): (a)Protective Coating Specialists, Inc. at 1350 7th Street Northwest, Huron, SD 57350: On or about and at times prior to November 22, 2023, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from chemical hazards in that the company had not developed and implemented a written hazard communication program. This condition exposed employees to hazardous chemicals including but not limited to; sodium fluoride, carbon black, phosphoric acid, silica, and propane. Abatement Note: Among other requirements a hazard communication program shall include the following: -A list of hazardous chemicals known to be present in the workplace. -Methods the employer will use to inform employees of the hazards of non-routine tasks. -Methods of labeling and other forms of warning. -Safety Data Sheets. -Employee information and Training.
