29 CFR 1910.215(b)(5): The angular exposure of grinding wheel periphery and sides for safety guards used on surface grinding machine(s) employing the wheel periphery exceeded 150 degrees: A. Solid Pins: On, or about, April 15, 2021, the guard provided on the Brown & Sharpe surface grinder allowed 167 degrees of angular exposure when fully deployed. B. Machine Shop: On, or about, June 21, 2021, the guard provided on the Okamato surface grinder allowed more than 150 degrees of angular exposure when fully deployed.
