Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 009A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: a) On or about November 26, 2018 and at times prior to, employees working with hazardous chemical products including but not limited to carbon black, Anti-sticking, SEM108-5, Bladder Coating HV-495 and silica where not trained on the hazards associated with the use of those chemicals. b) Throughout the facility - On or about November 26, 2018 and at times prior to, employees used raw materials in the manufacturing of rubber tires including, but not limited to carbon black, which is classified as combustible. The employer failed to train employees on the physical hazards of combustible dust.
