29 CFR 1926.1153(c)(1): For each employee engaged in a task identified on Table 1, the employer did not fully and properly implement the engineering controls, work practices, and respiratory protection specified for the task on Table 1, unless the employer assesses and limits the exposure of the employee to respirable crystalline silica in accordance with paragraph (d) of this section. a) Reptile house attic and habitat area - On or about 02/23/2018 - 03/24/2018, employees used jack-hammers, a task identified on Table 1, to perform manual demolition of structures including concrete walls and rock features with materials containing between 9%-30% crystalline silica. The jackhammers were not used with a water delivery system or dust collection system specified for the task on Table 1 and the employer did not assess the exposure of employee(s) to respirable crystalline silica in accordance with paragraph (d) of this section. NO ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED
