29 CFR 1910.1026(c): Employees were exposed to an airborne concentration of chromium (VI) which exceeded 5 micrograms per cubic meter of air, as an 8-hour time-weighted average: Maintenance Garage - On or about June 22, 2016, employees welding with DURA-WELD Gold and Harris E316L-16 stainless steel rods on stainless steel truck beds and salt spreaders, or in the vicinity of such welding were exposed to concentrations of chromium (VI) which exceeded the PEL - a) An employee was exposed to airborne chromium (VI) at an 8-hour time weighted average (TWA) concentration of 13.4 micrograms per cubic meter, which is 2.67 times the PEL of 5 micrograms per cubic meter. b) An employee was exposed to airborne chromium (VI) at an 8-hour time weighted average (TWA) concentration of 52.8 micrograms per cubic meter, which is 10.56 times the PEL of 5 micrograms per cubic meter.
