29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Authorized employee(s) did not receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control (a) On or about July 7, 2016, the employer failed to provide training to authorized employees in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control. Employees working in the fittings department are exposed to caught in and electric shock hazards in that authorized employees have not received training in energy control procedures pertaining to the Elbow Machines, and automatic and manual Iowa Precision Collar Machines. Abatement certification is required for this item; use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose.
